models over 60, step forward Jan de Villeneuve.
In years gone by, models had short shelf lives. You were lucky if you could keep modelling past the age of 30. Thankfully, we live in more enlightened times and Jan de Villeneuve is a great example of what positivity (and great cheek bones) will do for you.
The former wife of Twiggy’s manager, Justin de Villeneuve, Jan was in great demand in the 1960s and 70s, modelling in London, Paris, Milan and New York. She retired as a model when she had her two daughters, but resurfaced again recently, appearing in a photo shoot for Stylist magazine and is listed on the books as a classic model for models for models1.co.uk
De Villeneuve has worked with David Bailey, Norman Parkinson and Helmut Newton, and is still in demand – despite now being in her 70s. Nowadays, she is also active on Instagram @jan_de_villeneuve
What do we love about de Villeneuve? Like many of the older models at Silver Fox Management, de Villeneuve embodies timeless style and glamour. The photoshoot for Stylist suggested a brilliant devil may care attitude which gives her confidence and therefore attractiveness. It’s a great look!
